At Ayer Auto, you're not just another number. David Ayer, owner/operator obtains hand-selected vehicles weekly. They receive extensive reconditioning, and any necessary service work, per manufacturer recommended service intervals. Each retail vehicle is sold carrying our standard limited powertrain warranty, and a VT state inspection for safety and emissions compliance. Ayer Auto wants to earn your trust and business, so we treat each customer how we would want to be treated, and tailor to your specific needs. After serving in the U.S. Army overseas, David returned to Vermont and followed in his father's footsteps by continuing the quality and attention to detail of Ayer Auto Body that began here in Barre, in the mid-1950's.  Soon thereafter, David's customers were in need of a dedicated auto repair center, so he opened Ayer Auto Service.  With the tireless assistance of his loyal wife, Kathy, the two businesses and their reputation for quality continued to grow.  Eventually, David's customers began to ask if he could help them find their next vehicle.  As the demand for David's automotive expertise in helping his customers find a high quality vehicle continued to grow, Ayer Auto Sales was created about 10 years ago. David and Kathy are knowledgeable, helpful, and understand the value of customer retention through uncompromising service. They continually invest in the state-of-the-art equipment necessary to complete any repairs required on late model vehicles.
